When adding magic items I noticed that magic weapons do not have weight values listed, which should be the weight of the base weapon unless the description states otherwise. All the magic armors I looked at have weight values.
Because of this, with the variant encumbrance rules selected, my character is unencumbered despite the fact that I should be 1 lb over the threshold as my equipment is 6 lb lighter than it should be.
Odd, any magic weapon should (as you say) inherit the weight of the base weapon.
The magic shield that I have attempted to create does inherit the weight of the base shield. However, as was mentioned by Negelum above, it would be great to also be able to edit a magic item's weight (deviation from the base) when creating a magic item.
Also, the whole reason I'm making that request is because, when creating a homebrew race and adding a bonus to armor class as a modifier to a racial trait, there doesn't seem to be a way to change the modifier type; it is always Misc, but I want to create a Shield bonus to AC as a racial trait.

Also there is no place to modify a weapons weight if you create a magic item.

In Additional Information, there should be a bar called Weight, where you can input the desired weight.
