Welcome to the Support thread for Eberron: Rising from the Last War
If you find any issues/bugs with the content from the sourcebook, or using it on a D&D Beyond character, please post in this thread.
Release Notes
Eberron: Rising from the Last War is packed with new information, both lore and mechanical content for your characters. Please be aware of the following before posting in this thread:
THE ARTIFICER
There's a lot to discuss with the Artificer features!
Infusions: The team have been hard at work on a new feature for the D&D Beyond character sheet that will enable infusions. We will absolutely have further detailed information on how it works, but for the moment, we ask for some patience on this feature please.
The Right Tool for the Job: There is no special character sheet functionality within this feature - simply add the tool required to your character sheet through equipment manager and maybe note that it is added through this feature via equipment customization.
Tool Expertise: This feature effectively grants expertise in all tools the character is proficient with. The character sheet doesn't currently display tool expertise.
Spell-Storing Item: We don't currently have a way to designate the spell chosen for this. You can track the number of uses of the spell in the item through the actions panel of the character sheet.
Alchemist - Experimental Elixirs: Currently, we don't have the tools to represent these elixirs as items, with their dynamic effects based on character ability scores. We aim to resolve this in the future. Please refer to the feature on the character sheet and, where needed, you can add custom items to the inventory of your character.
Alchemist - Alchemical Savant: This is listed as an action, under the "other" section. Due to the scope of choice in using this feature, the bonus is not automatically added to your spells. You will need to remember to choose to add this to appropriate dice rolls.
Artillerist - Eldritch Cannons: These are displayed in the actions section of your character sheet, along with their statistics, including the damage done. Each turret has been configured with a "number of uses" equal to the hit points of the turret, so you can track damage to the turret there.
Battle Smith - Steel Defender: Add the [Tooltip Not Found] to your character sheet through the EXTRAS section. At 15th level, switch to using the [Tooltip Not Found].
RACES
Goblinoids - This is Bugbear, Goblin, and Hobgoblin. These races are presented as functionally identical to their publication in Volo's Guide to Monsters and thus the standard descriptions from that sourcebook remain in place. Eberron: Rising from the Last War Chapter 1 gives background lore for on these races for the Eberron campaign world.
Dragonmark variants/subraces - there are 13 of these presented in Chapter 1. All of them have a racial feature named, "Spells of the Mark" that adds spells to the character's spell list, if that class has spellcasting or pact magic. That feature wasn't modelled correctly at release, but was implemented on 17th August 2020 and is now fully functional. Please note that the spells are only added if your character is a class that has a spell list (as per the rules written in this sourcebook).
MAGIC ITEMS
Imbued Wood Focus - we are not currently able to model a bonus to a specific type of spell. Please remember to manually add the +1 bonus to damage to your spell effects!
Wizards of the Coast will soon be releasing an update to the existing Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron. D&D Beyond will also update the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron sourcebook to reflect the changes made by Wizards of the Coast.
We expect this to take a few days, so please bear with us on that!
As some of the content (backgrounds, magic items etc) included in Eberron: Rising from the Last War, is already live on D&D Beyond, as part of The Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, we will be updating that content to the latest version. This work will commence at the point where Eberron: Rising from the Last War is released and will likely take us several hours. If you notice on release day that the text of a magic item doesn't 100% align with the description in chapter 5, please hold off on reporting, as it's likely that we're still working on that. Thank you!
EDIT -
Specific content from the “old” version of WGtE has been recreated as public homebrew associated with the author "BadEye" on DDB. Anyone that desires to continue to use those non-official mechanics, can add those feats, magic items, and race/subraces to your Homebrew Collection, allowing them to be used as normal in the character builder and sheet. You can find links to all that homebrew in this thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/news-announcements/53261-wayfinders-guide-to-eberron-pre-update-content
UNEARTHED ARCANA CONTENT
As always, any content that was published as Unearthed Arcana, for playtest, that is now included within a published sourcebook, will now be considered as Archived Playtest. This means that you will no longer be able to add the content to your characters for playtest purposes.
Any character that is currently using Unearthed Arcana content that is being archived will continue to be able to use that content. This included races, magic items etc.
The tooltip (correctly) doesn't appear for the steel defender and improved steel defender links in that post, saying I need to buy it in the marketplace... But the Imbued Wood tooltip does appear, but the link to https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/imbued-wood doesn't work. The item seems to be located at https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/imbued-wood-focus at the moment, but there's 2 errors in the table there:
It seems like purchasing just the Artificer subclasses does not grant access to the infusions (in any form as far as I can tell) or to the steel defender creature. Is this as intended? Should the steel defender be included in the battle smith subclass?

I had preordered the book but when I got home from work I was excited to look at it and it just tells me that I preordered it. I can't look at it. I'm able to look at the chapter/subject headings but when I go to look at one it sends me to a page that tells me I preordered it
I’m unable to view compendium content. I can get to the table of contents page, but when I try to access any of the links on the page, it just takes me to a marketplace page that tells me that I have preordered it.

I'm having the same issue. Strangely enough though, one of my players has access to it from my content sharing.

I cleared all site data and now it's working fine. Thanks for that.
Are multiclass artificers supposed to get firearm proficiency? Primary class artificers are currently getting the proficiency, multiclass are not. I'm not sure if this is a bug or DDB's interpretation of the optional rule. The optional rule that grants the main class simply says that an artificer exposed to firearms would be proficient, so I would think anyone who is an Artificer would be proficient.
I also have the same issue. I can look at the new races, but when I try to look at artificer or any pages of the book it takes me to the marketplace preorder page and informs me I have preordered it.
So I purchased Artifcer as part of Wayfinders Guide to Ebberon, but that class doesn't seem to be available any more to me. My understanding is that content I had purchased from the Wayfinder's guide would carry over. Could I get some clarification to that?

Same issue here. Living in Germany if that makes any difference.
EDIT:
Nevermind. Clearing Site Data in the browser / reauthorizing to my Twitch did the trick.

Seems like the first "tooltip not found" should link to "Kythrian Manchineel" (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/kythrian-manchineel-focus) and the second should point to "Shavaran Birch" (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/shavarran-birch-focus). Also, I see that the spelling of "Shavaran" is different in the URL vs. the title of the page...
Content sharing doesn't seem to work with the Eberron book yet, our DM has content sharing enabled but this book is inaccessible to our group.
Got an easy one, small typo I think:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/battle-smith
"Disen-gage" in the Steel Defender section.
It seems like purchasing just the Artificer subclasses does not grant access to the infusions (in any form as far as I can tell) or to the steel defender creature. Is this as intended? Should the steel defender be included in the battle smith subclass?
I can't seem to pick RftLW as a source when filtering monsters or magic items by source.

The same with me.
