It is important to us to always have game mechanics and sourcebooks/adventures reflect the most up-to-date version of that content, as we are the official digital toolset. However this recent experiment with Wayfinders Guide to Eberron and Eberron: Rising from the Last War has caused quite a bit of confusion and many of the changes have been a jarring transition for some players. While being up-to-date is important, doing the right thing for our players is equally as important to us. Adam Bradford has come up with a compromise that we hope will balance the needs of our users with the requirements to keep those sources up to date.
Specific content from the “old” version of WGtE has been recreated as public homebrew associated with the author "BadEye" on DDB. You, and anyone else that desires to continue to use those non-official mechanics, can add those feats, magic items, and race/subraces to your Homebrew Collection, allowing them to be used as normal in the character builder and sheet.
Below are links to find that homebrew so you can easily add it to your collection:
This isn't a perfect solution, but we will continue to take suggestions and work to avoid this issue in the future. Thank you for your patience as we created these homebrew, and please let us know if you encounter any issues using them on your characters.
TheBatch - That's an issue with homebrew subraces that the team is aware of. It's annoying for sure, and as soon as we have an update on a fix for it we will let everyone know!
VikingEric - Our focus had been on Warforged because of the removal of the subraces. But I'll pass along your request for this treatment for Shifters and Changelings as well.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. There is a Warforged race group. My homebrew Warforged variants appear under a Warforged header. All BadEye (or whoever created the public homebrew Warforged subraces) needs to do is choose Wargorged as the race subgroup.
On that note, the official Warforged is also not under the race group, which is really annoying.
If the Changelings can be added as well I would be very thankful. I could fix my Changeling Sorceress whose backstory got broken with the removal of Divergent Persona.

If you didn’t change your sorceress’ race after the update, all that should still be there for you; UA content is supposed to stick around for characters that were already using it, even after it has been archived.
Unfortunately I did make changes after the content had been archived - because I hadn't seen the update that it was going to happen yet. It was only when I noticed that it was different did I go looking for why and found the announcement.
Okay, while i appreciate some of the basic public appeal, i am still quite upset. There is no reason that the Wayfinders guide i paid for has to be completely removed from D&D beyond and replaced with a manual input of homebrew material. not to mention that the warforged and other Eberron races are unavailable for those who haven't paid for Last war content. there is no reason they couldn't be categorized as "UA" material at worst. This is honestly a terrible solution that feels like its meant to cover up a ploy to get people to buy Last war and to sweep Wayfinder under the rug. i get that it was play test content, but it was content you had charged for, and shouldn't be removed so willy-nilly. i doubt that action is even legal.
The 3 subclasses of the Warforged have been added to the Homebrew section along with some magic items and other stuff. I was equally upset, but am now a bit appeased for the most part.

Then why are you upset? It was 100% clear that it was playtest content, an evolving document, and not in its final form. You knew that when you paid for it.
......not to mention that the warforged and other Eberron races are unavailable for those who haven't paid for Last war content. there is no reason they couldn't be categorized as "UA" material at worst.
If you bought Wayfinders, you should absolutely have access to the updated Eberron races, whether or not you purchased Rising from the Last War. If you do not, please A) clarify that here and B) contact support.
Categorizing the original material as UA wouldn’t actually help, as UA material is archived/unavailable after official versions have been published. (And, in point of fact, all the playtest versions of Wayfinders were UA material, too.). Making an exception for these materials would create a great deal of confusion down the line.
The other thing I’d like to see DDB do here is to create a guide to recreating the original playtest versions of the races/feats/etc from Wayfinders as private homebrew for those who don’t have a subscription and thus can’t (I believe) make use of the homebrew Adam created.
Keep in mind, too, that you can ask for a refund of Wayfinders if you are unhappy. You can do that by contacting support. I’d encourage you, though, to ask them to sort out why all the Eberron races have disappeared for you first, if that is what has happened to you.
One more thought: I presume from what you said, you purchased Wayfinders here yourself. If I am wrong about that, and you had access to it through campaign sharing, please ask the person who turned on campaign sharing to turn it off and then back on again.
I disagree with the removal/subsumption of content on grounds that I paid for the old sourcebook. Up-to-date or not, I should still be allowed access to older digital content, as I would if I had the book in print. Along the same lines: I also believe if someone wants access to the new material, they should have to buy it like with every other book. If you want one: get the one. If you want access to both: get both (which I did).
While I appreciate the attempt at a compromise by recreating the old content as homebrew, not all of the old source material has been recreated. Additionally, to make use of the recreated material, one would need a subscription in order to use it on DDB, meaning they'd need to pay (on a recurring basis) to make use of content that has already been paid for.

Thank you.
You didn't put the subraces in the warforged race group, so they appear separately in the race choice list.
thats great, what about shifters and changelings though?

Either way, you should be able to homebrew the original changeling; I would copy the updated changeling and adapt it to reflect the UA version. The UA write up for the changeling can be found here: https://media.wizards.com/2018/dnd/downloads/723UA_EberronRaces7232018.pdf

Any chance of the original WGtE Changeling being added to this list? Please?

Remember. It's not DDB's fault. They had to do what they did on orders from WotC or possibly lose their license.
