Looked through the thread and haven't seen an update on it. Steel Defender (and presumably Improved Steel Defender) isn't calculating the Might of the Master feature correctly.
I'm level 12 (+4 proficiency, or two +1 improvements), and it's currently displaying the following stats (correct values in red)
Saving throw bonuses: DEX +3, CON +4 / DEX +5, CON +6
Rend attack: +4 to hit, 1d8 + 2 force damage / +6 to hit, 1d8 + 4 force damage
Repair healing: 2d8 + 2 hit points / 2d8 + 4 hit points
There really should be a guide for how to fix this with homebrew, because it's not obvious how to trick the monster entry/Battle Smith Defender extra on the character sheet into working correctly. Though, of course, I wasted an hour doing this, and can't even share it via community Homebrew because it's too similar to the standard Steel Defender. This is very disappointing to still be an issue 6+ weeks after launch.
Update: Actually, there's some weird override on the Skills coming from the Battle Smith Defender "Extra" modifications. I don't think it's possible to even use that feature at this point, and instead it needs to be classified something else in the Extra menu. That sucks.
I purchased the artificer class and it is not appearing in character creation. I have allowed for Eberron content and cleared my cache. Not sure what else to do.
Hi, is there perhaps a known issue with this source on the App? I have the content unlocked on the site, but when I open my DDB app (Android) I can't find it listed under 'My Content'... Is there a reason for that?
Note: I have access to Wayfarer's Guide on the app (shared by my DM), and downloaded without issue. Is there a compatibility issue?
Weird, nevermind. Although I only installed the app yesterday (after a phone reset) it didn't seem to download the latest source manifest? I followed a suggestion of forcing the app to refresh the source list and that seems to have sorted the issue.
create a feat for each dragon mark that adds those spells to spell lists at the appropriate lvl i created versions of all the spells that could be used by any class then a feat that added those spells at their lvl. unfortunatly because i altered the spells to be usable by any class i cant share it, but it might work with stock spells. the feat itself allows you to choose what classes can use it. then make the subclass add that feat
Hmm... I'm not seeing it there yet (that link doesn't actually point to any existing section on the page when I try to open it), but perhaps it's just taking a while to propagate through the tubes. Will have to check back later.
It would be nice to have an extra "Spell" for the Artificer that represents using the Experimental Elixir ability as a spell slot. I forget I can do this all the time. I ended up creating a janky Custom Spell for it to remind myself, so I figured it's worth mentioning here.
Anyone know why I cant access the Artificer class, was able to like 2 days ago but not anymore?
Well, the first question might seem like an obvious one: have you bought the artificer (either as part of the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron or Eberron: Rising from the Last War, both of which include the base class, or as a standalone purchase)?
Also, where are you unable to access it? The character creator on the website?

If you were able to, but now cannot, my first question is: Did you build the Artificer in someone else's campaign? They may have revoked their content from the campaign.
Negative, I pay the yearly subscriptions so im constantly making characters, went into make a new one and its just not showing up anymore. First time I've had this problem.

Hi there Smiley75! Can you confirm that you have purchased either the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, or Eberron: Rising From the Last War? Is the Eberron slider turned "on" (to the right) on the character settings page?
haven't purchased the pack but i was able to build with the class, I just went ahead and bought the subclasses to obtain the class again! No problems now, Appreciate the help though

Oh, it could have been that you were using the Unearthed Arcana version (which is free while it's in Beta). Now that the official (paid) version is out, they likely rolled back the UA version.

Yep, the UA version of the class and subclasses were archived - I think existing characters using those options were able to continue existing and leveling, but users are unable to create characters using archived options going forward.

If you are still unable to access the Artificer after purchasing one of the subclasses, please submit a ticket to our Support team!

The Racial Trait 'Spells of the Mark' of the Half-Orc Mark of Finding does not seem to work with the Fighter - Eldritch Knight subclass.
I am missing Faerie Fire and Longstrider in my spell list to choose from.
They are still working on the Spells of the Mark feature.

We've stopped this OGL madness, but stay vigilant, they tried it once, they can try it again.

Artificer class automatically gains 'Firearms' weapon proficiency. This proficiency is not listed in the source material for Artificers.
"Optional Rule: Firearm Proficiency" is listed in the source material in WGtE and E:RftLW:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/wgte/artificer#OptionalRuleFirearmProficiency
https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/erftlw/character-creation-class-artificer#OptionalRuleFirearmProficiency
...But it seems you're right that it's missing from the standalone class description itself on this page: https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/artificer
(I don't know if it shows up on the character sheet/in the character builder itself for an artificer character.)
Odd! I just checked and the section on firearms proficiency was added to the class, but not displaying. That's on me for not checking.
It''s now showing!
