Sorry for the ultra-basic question but I could not find an existing answer using search. I'm just getting started with D&D running games for my daughter.
My daughter's character sheet on this site shows a '(CHA) Persuasion' skill bonus of +4. She has proficiency in that skill. Her charisma bonus is +2. Does the skill bonus on the sheet already factor in the +2 from charisma? Would the skill check be D20+4 or D20+4+2?
The character builder does a great job of breaking down the ability bonuses but the skills are more of a black box.
The character sheets generated by DDB do already include the bonus from proficiency, yeah. So her (Cha) Persuasion already includes the +2 from Cha and the +2 from being proficient in persuasion. As such, you'd roll d20+4 for Persuasion.
