Lol, they finally made that a payment method? Hmm, I just have to wonder exactly WHEN they decided to put effort into providing that. How very interesting.
@Madbanner: If you don't mind, when did you first setup your account to use that payment method?
Honestly I think it has been setup this way (most recently) through a free trial. March 20, 2023. no charge was made but they let me use it as “payment.”
Before that, the last time this card was billed by WotC was Sept 21, 2022. I must have been cancelled or using a different payment method since then.
I recently send a help request asking if there was anything wrong with dndbeyond. My card would keep getting declined for subscription eventhough I was able to pay for stuff in the marketplace.
I got an answer back saying the problem was with my bank because they had gotten the indication my card was declined without reason. So now idk if its the bank or just dndbeyond that says it, eventhough knowing the reason is what you explained in this post.
Still refusing, I tried to purchase the Players Handbook online which SHOULD be a one-time purchase but it keeps saying Suspected Fraud and cancelling the purchase.
I wanted to use a Visa gift card to gift a friend a year subscription only to find out the hard way that it's not accepted. Do they not want money? And there's no other way to purchase a gift subscription that I can see.

Make paypal account, and add the visa gift card as a payment source.
On D&D Beyond use paypal for the purchase.

I can't change my payment method from Cash card, a type of pre-paid card. And I'm unable to renew my subscription at all. Just says try again later.

Sadly, it turns out I bought the one Visa gift card that blocks the funds being transferred to Paypal. :\
