Was today's Ranger fix supposed to correct the "snippet data generates error message on the character sheet" issue? I am still getting the "scalevalue - No level scale data available" error message on Favored Foe if it was.
I was also under the impression this would get fixed today, and somehow thought the popup at the top of the main D&D Beyond page was in reference to the Optional ranger class features in TCOE. Reading more carefully, I see I was wrong, and the "scalevalue" error will be dealt with later. Probably lots of folk will be confused, though, as I believe -- iirc -- BadEye (dev) also mentioned December 8th as the date for improvements for the ranger in the last Dev Update.
Edit: Just saw OboeLauren's comment above (#1743). As you were, then. :)
So the DM has to enable the OCF in a different section?
What do you mean? Right now, players (continue to) manage their own sheets, and can enable/disable each optional class feature from the "Optional Class Features" portion of the "Class" page in the character builder.
CLERIC - Blessed Strikes. Was appearing as an option twice in the builder. This has been resolved, but for now it means it doesn't show on the cleric class page. We will resolve this fully in due course.
Public Mod Note(Stormknight): We haven't added the sidekicks from Tasha's yet - we need some additional dev work to build a proper system for them - the ones you see are likely from the Essentials set
When making a custom sidekick using the custom monster homebrew, if I select a spellcaster, the default spells are incorrect. For example, a spellcaster level 8 should have access to only level 2 spell slots, but the monster that pops up for a level 8 spellcaster has 4th level spell slots, which shouldn't occur until a 15th level spellcaster. The proficiency bonus and HP seem correct, but the spell slots seem in line with a Player Character, not the sidekick.

Public Mod Note(Stormknight): Some of the subclasses were previously published in other settings (Theros/Ravnica/Eberron) so retain their source toggles to enable them.
Is it only me or is anyone else not able to access the new subclasses from tashas book when creating characters? Or are these still being uploaded to the system?

Public Mod Note(Stormknight): Assuming the content is shared with you - please ensure that you are creating those characters inside a campaign where the content is shared with you
yeah i have the same problem, its not just the subclasses though. Ive lost access to all the content from tashas, ravnica, volos and eberron when creating characters for some reason.

Selecting the Fighting Initiate feat doesn't let you choose from different fighting styles.

Eldritch Adept and Fighting Initiate - The systems to support these feats are currently in development, we have provided placeholder feats so they can be selected for now.
So something I've noticed with the character builder in regards to the Ability Score increase origin change that is available. What I have noticed is that generally for any race that has a sub-race you can only change the origin of the base races stat boost and not change the stat that is granted by the sub-race.
This is rather odd seeing as how in the book the example that is used is a Hill Dwarf but when you try to copy it in the character builder you can only choose to swap the +2 Con score and you have to just deal with the +1 Wis score. Pictures below that show the proof of this and the snippet from the book as shown on DndBeyond.
Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul bonus Spells always display at higher levels even when the Spells have no scaling effect. The same spells learned normally do not do this.
It’s not enough to have Optional Class Features enabled. You also have to enabled each specific class feature you want in the optional feature manager on the class tab of the character builder.

This one is a known issue:
Yes I figured out how to enable and active the optional things. Thanks.
any way to add wild shapes ‘elemental forms into my character? I have just been switching tabs to the creature section.
you should be able to add them in the extras section of your sheet

You all rock at dndbeyond. Thank you for all of your hardwork!

Sorry - I did enable them but they are still not showing up. I have both Optional Class Features and Non Core content enabled. Looking at the spell, it says "Circle of Wildfire" - does that mean it's just restricted to that type of Druid? https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/revivify and see my character test here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/Cruxt/characters/40731534
They don't show up as spell you can't prepare?
Additional spell is a expansion to your spell list, not spell you are automatically granted
Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul bonus Spells always display at higher levels even when the Spells have no scaling effect. The same spells learned normally do not do this.
Revivify is only for Circle of Wildfire.
Thanks for that detail... But where is that noted? Here is the section from Tasha and I don't see 'Wildfire' next to it? https://www.dropbox.com/s/yr2m8d4lbzvckos/Druid Sells - Tasha.png?dl=0
(See screengrab)
Correct - it's not showing up as something to prepare.
It’s not enough to have Optional Class Features enabled. You also have to enabled each specific class feature you want in the optional feature manager on the class tab of the character builder.
