Like so many parts of dndbeyond, the mechanics for creating homebrew items on the website is broken.
Trying to create a container, so I copy the handy haversack.... but my creation is no longer a container when I go to add it to a character it just shows as an item. Thinking maybe the haversack is broken like so much on dndbeyond (it's not I later checked and if you add a haversack it adds as a container) I tried again using the bag of holding, which I know for a fact adds a container to your inventory list.... except once again my homered item is added as an item and not as a container.
Since I didn't change any of the settings except name, flavor description, and the weight on the bag of holding, and didn't change anything except the name and flavor description on the haversack it SHOULD have just created a container since the base object is a container. But no. Dndbeyond is broken garbage and wotc doesn't care enough to fix their broken garbage because they make more money off throwing more broken garbage on top instead of fixing existing trash.
