You don’t have to “choose” those spells, they should be automatically granted. Please post a link to your character sheet so someone can look into this for you.
It is even funnier today than it was a couple years ago.
Guys. Create a custom feat. Have the subclass grant then feat.
The feat then allows spell choices.
Have it add a new feat for each new spell level granted. Each feat has the curated list for that correct spell level.
Is that a bootleg fix? Yes. But do something. Shit has been YEARS. You could have sent an intern to college, to learn how to code from scratch, and had him do the fix by now.

It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

(spoiler the feat idea didn't work for me - came kind of close). I tried homebrewing a custom version of the Clockwork Soul subclass with the subclass spells just completely removed and then homebrewed a special feat to replace those spells with a drop-down menu of the approperate spells to choose from (I used the Fey Touched Feat as a starting off point/template and then removed the +1 to choosen modifer). I couldn't get the spells from the feat to be treated like slotted spells (I have the impression from this: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq that this is not a problem that can be gotten around, at least at this time). I also could not get the HIT / DC stuff to act right, but that seems like a bit of a moot point, given that I can't seem to get the slotted spell status to work the way I wanted it to. (maybe I learned something in the process of trying to do it before reading the FAQ's, but not recommended).
So, I guess back to editing the subclass.
I'd really like to have it with some sort of a drop down menu to choose the spells that I want, in my character sheet, instead of having to make edits to the homebrewed subclass, every time I want to try a change in one of the clockwork spells. I'm trying to decide between multiclassing and not multiclassing, and so now I have to have more than one homebrewed copy . . and then plus, I don't like to delete my characters, after I've played them. I seems a bit ineligant.
I'm not sure if it's possibble to homebrew the subclass such that there is some kind of a dropdown menu, or not. It might be impossible for some reason, like it seems to be impossible to use a feat to solve the problem (without creating other problems). Homebrewing/editing subclasses feels more difficult than homebrewing/editing feats. I'm not sure even if it is possible, if it would be something that I would be able to do, and I don't think I want to attempt, unless I know that it would be possible. Any advice, please?

That was a suggestion to dndbeyond not to us users.
For us we need to create a homebrew copy of the subclass. In this copy, you change the granted spells. Unfortunately this means you need to edit this homebrew subclass every time you level up. Or create a new version for each spell change you wanna make. It is super silly.

So I guess there isn't an elegant DYI homebrew solution. Just have a different homebrew subclass for each character sheet that using the Clockwork Soul or Aberrant Mind subclass?
(disappointing)
It helps a little to put the link to the page that you will be editing often, for that homebrew subclass , in your character sheet, or where ever you keep your notes. on that character. (but overall, still disappointing)

The problem still exists. The spells they are supposed to have available don't even show up. Let alone an option to switch them.
They obviously have no intention of ever fixing this issue.
Its been years and the problem hasn't been dealt with. They just keep pushing out more products to take our money and don't fix the problems that exist with what is already out there. Its ridiculous.

Not all of the spells are free content, and they don’t come with the subclass. They have to be purchased separately.
Huh, so there are even more problems than just not being able to swap the spells. You have to make additional hidden purchases to make your first purchase work?

The broken spell selection has been broken forever too. Since it was released more than 3 years ago. But selling access to a subclass that has a spell selection you both can't see ... and because of the bugs can't change, just adds to the problem.
If you could change the spells like you're supposed to it wouldn't be an issue. But their failure to implement the class right makes it one.

Given that Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul got reprinted into 2024 rules and they specifically removed the spell-swapping aspect kinda indicates this is never gonna get a fix.

Subclass purchases have never included free spells. There’s nothing new there, been that way since forever.

Oh, I’m not saying the subclass works correctly or anything, it’s definitely broken. But it not including those spells isn’t the problem.
