Wow good to know - from what I can see you also can’t have multiple apps open like you can have windows open like on a note book (tab for monsters / tab for spells etc).
So a DM trying to run a game without wifi using the app is limited to one thing at a time ..? 🤨
The mobile app is designed to run on mobiles/tablets, which have little or no support for multiple "windows" (I know that android has limited support).
That has to be the primary consideration for user-interface, rather than the app being run on a laptop via an emulator (which may be possible).
I have an iPad mini and it’s too old to get app, and wifi really slow on site but I think that is because I use it on basement . If. Router was closer I’d have better luck as on top level of house .
Will there ever be a windows/computer app for a laptop/desktop? Is that something that is in the works?
Hi Koda9917, welcome to the forums o/
According to several posts on the matter: no, there is no plan at present to make a desktop version of the offline app, but (SPECULATION ALERT) should enough interest be shown, I guess they might take it into consideration AFTER the official launch of the mobile app.

Currently the app is just an ebook reader and even the full DDB website is limited for campaign management. Full character/campaign management in the app will come in time and we don't know what it will look like. To manage my current campaign I use the app and another tool. I have the latest iPad so can have both open in split windows and it's really convenient. But it is limited for campaign management I don't anticipate using it to run a homebrew campaign I'll be starting soon. So you're probably best sticking with pen and paper during the game.
Not the most tech savvy guy...
App obviously good for iPhone / android phones & tablets, assume MacBook as well .
Windows 10 laptop (for example) wouldn’t work, correct ?
Put another way, if I wanted offline access to content MacBook only way to go ? Or windows based laptop would work with something from google store ?

So another techy question - using iPad mini w/safari.
I open up several tabs for monsters, although when I switch between them each page reloads each time 😡.
Is there workaround for this ? I know this isn't a DDB problem, only browser one. I got chrome app and it was the same.
