I would love to be able to gift subs. I have 6 people I play with regularly and would totally be willing to drop a yearly sub for them as gifts in a heartbeat. It sucks that I can't.
Bump. i wanna get one of my players a sub and it is really dumb that I cant. if you can overhaul a store to erase all the spells then in a week change it to where they are just legacy because of backlash, you can make it so I can gift a year subscription.
We actually ended up using a different website cause of the inability to gift subs being too sore of a point to get over. Will happily come back to DNDBeyond if they add gift subs. I now have multiple people I'd be gifting a year subscription to. I'm the "bring the snacks" individual of our group, but since my friends & I are currently separated by distance, there's less that I can do for our DND sessions. Gift subs would be THE perfect gift. Ugh... and Christmas is coming up too! Please add gift subs! Thank you! <3
bumping this again... it would make things so much easier if gifting subscriptions were available. plus they'd get so much more money??? who wouldn't want that ?
This!!!! My DM already has hero but we want him to have master so he doesn't have to do the leg work of making our character sheets for us. pleaseeeeee add this an option!!!!
We still can't gift subscriptions huh? I'd prefer to keep a subscription as a gift so I could pay for 1 year at a time when I had the extra money to do so since it's cheaper than the monthly rate. Oh well, I'm not the one losing out on money. In fact I'm saving money, by not purchasing a subscription at all.
I am also looking to pay my DM's subscription for one year as a Christmas present out of gratitude for their DM'ing, and am a little disappointed that I cannot. I will probably have to send him the money instead, but it just does not feel the same.
Bumping this since I've been DMing for my group with a master tier sub for a while. I ceded the reins to another person in my group and wanted to gift them a sub or a gift card or anything, but nope, still not a feature in 2026.
I remember reading something about Starbucks selling around 60 millions worth of gift cards on December 24 alone, how is this feature not a thing after so many years of having a marketplace?
I have people I want to give Beyond subscriptions to, and it's become a huge issue, because we can't use prepaid gift cards, and the person I'm trying to gift to doesn't have Paypal. I don't want to give out my own credit card information. Why can't this be a giftable purchase, giving people a code to redeem like with so many other products?
My guess is they aren't doing this because if you give a code, then people would be able to avoid future subscription price hikes by buying multiple years with giftable codes. But like... most people won't do that, and if that's the concern, just include a "gift must be redeemed within x months" timeout. Or let us specify what Beyond account we're gifting to to at point of purchase and have it activate for that account at time of purchase.
There are so many ways to add this functionality. And for every person willing to post on a forum, there are probably a hundred or more who didn't bother to post. Why can't this be be an option? Whatever resource time it takes to implement, it should pay for itself within a few weeks or months at most.

Here's the non-conspiracy theory reason:
Some people evade marketplace bans induced by chargebacks via gifted subs.

Well there goes that birthday present idea. It’s really frustrating when a business doesn’t want to take my money.

My upcoming DM for an online game is new to DnD Beyond and would love to try out Maps. The wording implies only Master subs can do that. Am I wrong?
I was about to gift him a Master sub anyways, but now I know you can't! Please implement this, I want to give you more of my money!
Wanted to gift my partner this for Christmas, sad to see it's not an option, so bump.
We *still* can't gift dndbeyond.

The ability to give a gift subscription would be amazing. As others have stated, you're leaving money on the table.

The fact that I just looked into this and found this thread started in TWENTY-TWENTY-ONE and its still not a thing?
