I would also love it if there was a public API available. Something basic like simply reading character details I have created would be enormously useful to start.
+1 to wanting a public API, if we had an api key linked to our account. Similar to whats mentioned above I'd love to consolidate notes, auto generate treasures also generally as a Dev if I want to do a hobby project to work on my skills it would be nice to have access to a FUN datasource!
Hi, I'm working on a map app that allows battle maps to be revealed bit by bit.
I would be greatly interested in having access to an API that allows us to log in and retrieve campaign information and character information.

Is it ok to use the following url https://character-service.dndbeyond.com/character/v5/character/ for personal use? I want to use it for an app POC that we are going to use for our own DND group. I'm a developer and just wanted to give myself an interesting challenge. I just want to make a list of campaigns and show per campaign what the stats , items are for the characters in the campaign. This gives the dm a quick overview of the players...
I'm guessing they just don't watch this topic anymore. With all that has happened with WotC over these past months, it's pretty clear they only look at the black and red lines. I would love a public API. Does Roll20 offer one? Maybe time to switch.
i also would like to have access to API to create some small plugins
Another vote for an API. Use case for me is ability grab and aggregate my parties inventories, spell lists etc.
Huge +1 from me
You can probably use their Avrae Discord bot as a form of API access.

+1 this service would help expand dnd’s digital infrastructure dramatically
+1 as well!
+1 as well, I'd love to get programmatic access to the content I've paid for, even if it's locked behind a Master Subscription

Also +1 for API
Has there been any mention of a public api? I would love to mess around with it.
Another interested developer interested in an API for tool building.
Are we still asking for an API and not being responded to? If so, I'd also love programatic access to the content I pay for.
+1
This is 2023 being more open and allowing API access will create a lot of user content and benefit the game more rather than less
Some way to get at content owned by the player would be great, or just verify what books they own

they have answered this question multiple times: there is no public API and no plans for it.
if there are plans they will let us now.
+1 for interest in API access as well.
