I know I can do this manually but that requires a significant amount of effort. What I'm suggesting is something in the monster entry itself, like with the veteran the ability to simply add dwarf to it and have it auto-calculate the changes, or make your young green dragon a shadow version with a click.
The same could be done for boons and characters. In MToF, there are new boons and it'd be great if you could simply add them to a character as the DM via some sort of button or other.

This would be a fantastic feature. Currently I make a homebrew version of an existing monster and add in all of the racial bits, which is kind of annoying... So then I just default to human, because it takes less effort. This would bring so much diversity to my world!

Agreed, this would be great! Hopefully it could be something to look into for the second phase of homebrew.

Automation of adding racial traits to an NPC would be extremely handy.
I know this is a dead thread but this feature would really help DM's and make the D&D Beyond online product that much stronger. It's just a good idea!
