Based on the fact that anything not replaced in the 2024 rule update can still be used as written in the 2014 rules, we should be able to pick any of the leftover invocations that have not been republished as they were before. For instance, Tomb of Leviscus should still be available to pick if we have access to the 2014 rules in the 2024 Warlock.

I agree with you in principle but I understand why they aren’t available. In my opinion, the rationale is that, unlike Feats, Spells, or Subclasses, Warlock Invocations are part of the base class in the same way that Sorcerer Metamagic Options are. Battlemaster Maneuvers and Arcane Archer Shots are similar. 

even if that does turn out to be the reason they should still come out and say it. It doesnt make sense to exclude it tho. people will jsut homebrew it anyway

That's absolutely the impression I got as well. There's nothing anywhere saying the optional or additional features apply to the 2024 classes.
