Please give me a way to make a blanket selection to turn off legacy content / pre 2024 content in D&D beyond. I’m starting a game with the new rules and it’s been an endless source of confusion with my PCs. Some of them are pretty new and they just don’t know the difference.
Even for me, setting the source category every time I look for something is a pain in general.
I know everyone wanted backwards compatibility and not losing your content, but this implementation is just not great. I don’t want to comb through all the old stuff every time. Just give me a switch I can push once so I never have to see it.
This doesn't address all your feedback, but you can set the default source categories from My Characters. Click the Settings button (right of the Sort By option) and from there you can set your sources. This will apply to all characters you create by default
That would help with the character creation - I think it’s just a symptom of no one being used to limiting what shows up, so everyone breezes past those boxes and inadvertently picks the wrong version of noble or something like that. Not much to be done about that because the functionality is there.
The search functionality is the bigger issue to me. I was directing someone to a feat to look at and it took a minute to figure out he had searched up the legacy version.
