When you click on a spell or an Item or stat there is a sidebar that opens and displays the detailed information. It has always been a very useful tool. Not sure if anyone else noticed but the latest update really broke it in my opinion. Now it is half the width and a quarter of the length it used to be. Everything is crammed in too small of a space. On top of that it is pinned to one spot at the top of the window which makes it less useful. What happened to the icons to shift it to the left or right and to lock it open? I pay good money to you every month and you have been the premier site for D&D character sheets, but this is just a head scratcher. Remember the largest demographic of your base product users are over 40 so if you shrink the window down so we can't read it... I mean that's just mean.
I cast counterspell on your update!
I hope you fail the save and put it back the way it was or at least make the new one bigger and more flexible.
(Why not work on getting encounters out of beta stop wasting your time breaking things that already work?)
Just going to note here as somebody who has used that sidebar at several points throughout the day, every day for the past couple of months : there has not been any changes to the sidebar at all.

And now today it is small again. Honestly it looks like the old side bar from when the side bar first appeared.
I would think I am crazy if it wasn't for the hundreds of responses that confirm they are also seeing it... (That is Sarcasm in case you didn't notice). Trying to post a pix but its not going so well.

How to insert images in forum posts and PMs on DDB:
OG Written Instructions With Images (Using www.imgur.com):
First you need a direct link to the image. If the image already hosted online somewhere you just need the link to it, which you can get directly from the image itself by right clicking (or sometimes by long tapping/holding on the image on a mobile device). If it’s not already being hosted online then you’ll need to host it somewhere. Most people around here use www.imgur.com because it’s free and (relatively) easy to use. Imgur offers, like, a bajillion different link options (not really, more like half a dozen or something), but the one they suggest for forums is absolutely not the one you want. To embed images here, the one you need is the “direct link” that begins with http and ends with jpg or png. Once you’ve uploaded, navigate to “Images” in the dropdown underneath your name in the upper right hand corner then it offers the “direct link” as an option. For example: (https://i.imgur.com/HMfFhVm.jpg):
Once you’ve got the link, then you can come here to DDB and wherever you want to put the image (a forum like this, or a PM, etc.) look at the little grey buttons above the field, the one you need looks like a tiny landscape of a mountain with the sun/moon above it. (If you do not see those buttons, turn your mobile device sideways and perhaps zoom out the browser a bit as it requires the wider display.) Looks like this:
Click it and it’ll trigger a popup where you can put that direct link to embed the image. Below is an example from the first image I embedded in this post:
I also recommend constraining the width to 600 as shown in the image above 👆, the height will automatically calculate to maintain aspect ratios. Constraining the width will make sure that if anyone is viewing your PM/post on a mobile device (like me), that it won’t be a problem due to screen size. Most smartphones these days shouldn’t have a problem even if you don’t constrain the image, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful. (It’ll also prevent your post from inadvertently violating DDB’s forum rule against oversized images.)

My first question would be to ask whether you have any extensions or addons that modify the DnDBeyond pages, which might be causing it to think that the size of the screen is wrong.

It looks the same as it always has for me. Maybe you have some browser extension installed that's messing with it?
pronouns: he/she/they
Can confirm it seems normal on my end as well. It's likely based on something on your end, try the usual tech troubleshooting steps.
And today - it looks right again. Was driving me crazy all week. Now I get the full panel and I get the icons to lock it and move it.
Very weird.

If the sidebar is resizing, have you checked zoom or resolution settings?

Narrowing this down to a couple things. First when I thought it started working it was because I switch between to different computer.
