I created a Barbarian and I noticed there doesn't seem to be an option to toggle on rage so that it displays your damage bonus and your resistances. Am I just not seeing this option or does it not exist? Only option I see for rage is to check off when it gets used. If this option doesn't exist, I hope the people of Dndbeyond can add this quality of life feature. Because if it doesn't exist for rage, I am sure there are other abilities that don't have a toggle option for similar effects.
There is currently no option to change "state" in the character sheet, as you might in a video game.
It is planned to develop the character sheet to include this though, which will include being able to automatically apply the benefits of features, abilities & spells - things like Barbarian Rage, Mage Armor etc.
I don't know exactly how it will work - it's yet to be developed, but I know it is on the development roadmap.
Honestly? Probably not anytime soon. Hopefully by next summer was what I vaguely remember for temporary Character Features such as these but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, as more and more stuff gets added to the WotC library (adventure modules, sourcebooks), these things have to be implemented to the site. This takes valuable resources away from working on tools that still need fixing/tweaking (Encounter Builder, Combat Tracker). This means that things like the Rage feature are just not the highest priority when they can have an easily homebrewed solution by the player. Not saying that's the way it should be, it's just the way it is.
One example I have is my Devotion Paladin - I can't just tick a box to make my current weapon a 'Sacred Weapon' like I could for a Hexblade weapon. However it's easily homebrewed with a patch solution via a custom weapon, changing the relevant modifiers and voila - Sacred Weapon is handy when I need it.
The Character sheet however should not have me do this. Unfortunately, whereas Rage affects ALL Barbarian players, only a small amount of players comparatively play a Devotion Paladin - essentially it's only small issue that affects a smaller amount of players with an easy work-around solution. I don't expect this to get fixed soon and I've learned to accept it; there are things that need a higher priority than one minor feature (e.g. Trackable Spell Slots for Monsters in the Combat Tracker, fixes to the numerous character bugs in Tasha's etc)
It's just one of those things - I don't want to get people's hopes up so I think it's best to say don't expect this to be implemented soon, make a homebrew solution and keep an ear out for news over the next year.

Glad you pointed on the Hexblade... perhaps added due to the prevalance of broken Hexblade builds and the relative popularity of those.
Still, base class features should be easy to toggle (like rage...) but understandably each subclass will add more rage effects that won't be toggled. it almost (almost) makes sense to ignore the base abilities too...

I noticed this as well. It's super inconvenient for my new players.

As a temporary fix, I would recommend making an item for your Barbarian rage. You can then toggle rage by equipping or unequipping the item. I

Any update on a rage button or something similar that will automatically at the bonus to your action etc?
No.
