Playing since i was but a wee lad, dragging a tattered and highlighted 2e PHB to BSA campouts. Now I'm all growed up and sprinkling 5e magic into the lives of my kids and their friends.
Player's can access it by going to the campaign page. From any character sheet of a character in the campaign, click the name of the campaign in the top right of the sheet (between the long rest and go to builder buttons) and then from the sidebar, click the name of the campaign (above where it lists the DM). That'll take you to the campaign page where all the characters can be viewed, as well as the campaign description and any notes.

I am beyond frustrated that something i am paying for month-to-month has such a broken area that can easily be fixed.
The Public DM Notes should be available to the players at any time within the app:
Organizations / Allies / Enemies / Backstory / Other / Public DM
If you don't like that:
Abilities, Saves, Senses / ... / Notes / DM Notes / Extras
