I love the new Party Inventory feature, but think this could be expanded by allowing the DM to also manage their own inventory that could then be transferred to party inventory as they receive it.
Essentially, I'd like to build a chest (or multiple chests) with the loot that I'll eventually hand out, allowing a quick transfer to players instead of slowing down table play when people have to manually look up every item one at a time.
This feels like the next logical step in party inventory management.
+1 to this. This is a great idea if you have the time to plan your loot in advance. Not sure on the best way to implement such a system but this would be a great asset.

One can do this by having a DM character in the campaign, with privacy set to prevent the players from looking.
Which isn't to say a supported feature wouldn't be handy, but there is a workaround.
