FEATURE REQUEST: Add a new "Player Map" with DM Map and Spectator map.
PROBLEM: Switching the active map as a DM forcibly syncs all connected players and the Spectator View window to the same map.
This is especially challenging when DM and players are all remote. When DMing with a remote group, my players get frustrated to see a blank "DM turned off the screen" message when I move to another map to make alterations to the next map based on their decisions.
SOLUTION: Introduce decoupled view modes so that:
DM View: Can browse/edit other prepared maps, upcoming maps or sourcebook maps independently without altering the players' and spectators' screen. DM can "pull" players and activate a new map on the players & spectators screen.
Player/Active View (New): Remains locked to the active battle map where tokens/combat are located. Allows player to see the "active" map, think about battle, discuss and strategize, see roll log and artwork in log.
Spectator View: Option to lock the spectator display to the party's current map, making in-person TV/projector setups much smoother for an audience or streaming.
Why this helps:
Allows DMs to reference game elements (room keys, separate dungeon levels, or future encounters) during live sessions without pulling players away from active combat or breaking immersion.
A players map that stays visible/active when DM moves to another map, allows the players to stay engaged in the game and not get distracted or pulled out of game immersion.
