Would it be possible for the Magic Items to be updated to include if they're minor or major. Additionally would it also be possible to filter magic items by minor or major?
eh, I'll +1 this. I probably won't use it, but it's nice to have the option, just in case.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
Awesome, b/c I feel like with as useful as dndbeyond is, this would me AMAZING to include on the items here. Kinda like how armor should include if it give disadvantage on any saves when wearing.
This seems like a simple "add a tag" to the items kind of task. Any chance there has been more movement on this? I have always hated that rarity isn't the most useful category when major/minor conecpts are hiding behind that.

I don't think you are wrong. Tags would be a good way to sort them.
Shame new magic items don't bother with major and minor. I bet WotC completely forgot about that system.

Ooh, good idea.

You like the existing rarety categories? There aren't "major" or "minor" magic items in 5e that I've noticed.
It's a Xanathar's guide thing.

Oh, I found it.
This would be handy to have shown and filterable in item compendium. And hopefully items added outside the DMG can get these tags too.
Bumping for interest.

Is there any current way to tell whether an item is minor or major from its page here on DDB?
Look at the DMG random magic item tables (see https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dmg/treasure#RandomMagicItems). Tables A-E are minor items; Table F-I are major items.
From Xanathar's: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/xgte/magic-item-tables#Chapter2MagicItemTables
This is really good feedback and I'll pass this along.

Bump and +1
Yes, please incorporate this!
I would very much like for this to be a thing!
Great idea, would be very helpful!
I'll bump all these ideas.
