I love the homebrew system, however, it is kind of complicated to use because the only place to see all of the homebrew and Official content at once is on the character sheet. Which requires you to select the item then see its effects.
For example, my campaign uses many homebrew feats, but my players cant quickly see their effects or requirements. They have to go to the character sheet to see what homebrew feats exist and then go to the homebrew feats and look it up.
It would be nice if there was a way to see all Official and Homebrew feats for a campaign all at once as if you were looking at the Offical Feat page.
I am sure this would also be really useful for Items, Monsters and Spells too.
This would be extremely useful from a DM perspective. When I'm trying to think of items to give my players, or monsters to throw up against them, being able to see both my Homebrew Collection and official things would be very handy.

I think combining official and homebrewed lists together would cause you to be unable to tell which is which, given the sheer amount of content.

They/we have asked for our Homebrew Collection, not the full homebrew of the entire DDB community. :) I just want to be able to see the homebrew content I have added to my game along with the regular content in one list so I can work through when prepping campaigns, and I can also see how this would be helpful for a player in a campaign to plan out future choices.

You could easily add an icon next to the name or use a different color to show homebrew content... Plus this wouldn't replace the current system. It would add a 3rd option to show the content merged.
I'm just saying, there are 53 pages of monsters, 31 pages of magic items, and 24 pages of spell. Mixing a few homebrews into it will probably be hard to find.
But I definitely want a 'campaign homebrew collection' to be a sort of homebrew compendium for the campaign.
Yes, but it would be much nicer to go to one page and search for a spell than trying to remember if it was offical or homebrew first. Than taking a guess and searching and finding out you were wrong.
As for them doing it... It shouldn't be that hard, its a simple sql join.

To be clear, in context of the official main listings (Feats, Spells, etc.), it would be a relatively simple SQL join. However, one reason the site is as performant as it is, is due to caching. Adding that simple SQL join, that would be different for almost every user, would make caching useless on those listings and drastically impact the site's performance. Part of our architectural migration plans for the future may make it more feasible to intermingle user specific content with official content, but that day is not today.
For what y'all are asking, better visibility and management of homebrew, for a specific campaign, is something that we would attack at the campaign level. The Source management feature that is nearing development will effectively already pull that consolidated data in order to give the DM granular control over what is allowed in the campaign. It will not be a stretch to also provide more of a listings view for the players for them to browse what content, homebrew and official, is allowed. That specific use-case is not something that was on our original v1 radar, but I think it has a lot of merit and I'll petition to get it in.
How about this then... a simple page that includes all of the campaigns homebrew in one place.
basically, a "Shareable homebrew collection" page ! much like how you share between users the compendiums. but also homebreew collection of the GM !

That's effectively what I meant when I said we'd attack it at the campaign level when work begins on the source management feature. Although, to mouse's point, I'm feeling like, for the players views, it would be consolidated listings, meaning a listing of allowed Feats, for example, that would show all homebrew and official feats, allowed in that campaign. The DM would be the one to see all incoming homebrew and the controls to allow / disallow from all users homebrew collections, as well as official content.

I agree. Some way to see the combined homebrew collections of all the members of a campaign would be really useful.
For example, my DM has a homebrewed spell in his collection, and I don't know how which class spell lists it is on unless I check each class.

Or maybe a toggle between Official/Homebrew Collections/All Homebrew?
