If you highlight the text making up the stat block, right click, and select print it'll print just the stat block with no background. It's how I manage printing off homebrew monsters.
I always either create new adventures or re-write canned ones in a word processor. That lets me easily modify stuff I need to, and add in hyperlinks to play specific music at the times I want (I run my games off a laptop). When I create a monster in DnDB I just use the built-in Windows snipping tool to grab the stat block and paste it into the document.

It would be really awesome if there was a print / export the monster sheet option like there is for character sheets.
