I'm really excited about a character I've made that uses the UA patron The Raven Queen, but I'm unable to select this patron using D&D Beyond. Is this playtest content that could be added? Thanks!
Any Unearthed Arcana created before January 2018 is unable to be placed on DDB. Wizards of the Coast consider it to be archived. You are free to privately homebrew it, though.
Does this mean we will never see the Mystic class unless it gets publish through an official product? Since we can't homebrew our own Class it is a bit frustrating.
Just as a heads up, the ability to add and create custom classes is something that the DDB team is very keen on adding and it will be added at some point in the future. You can always check to see what we've got planned by going to our public roadmap: https://trello.com/b/vIKxuEs8/dd-beyond-feature-roadmap
You do know full homebrew classes is in the roadmap, right? That means that it will eventually become reality.
But......you HAVE to admit that having anyone create a fully functional Mystic class based on the UA, which was a 28 page pdf, will be a LARGE task to undertake. Better for a team, let alone the official D&D Beyond team.

Not arguing that, I was mostly replying to the question "Why not allow us to create our own classes?"
Creating any homebrew full class with any kind of original mechanic is going to be a daunting task, but if one is REALLY interested in having it implemented in the system, and having no other way of doing it, it will eventually be done.
I personally understand the reasoning behind WotC putting a veto on the introduction of archived playtest content here in DDB.

If they release a new UA mystic, like they did with the artificer, then that will likely get added. Also custom classes are in the works

I hope that helps to alleviate your concerns!
