D&D Beyond's homebrew tool should allow magic items to grant custom actions. I know other homebrew on Beyond can grant actions, but items cannot for some reason. It's quite common, for me at least, to really want to allow a specific action with an item, that isn't a spell, yet also couldn't be performed without the particular item, also also not an arbitrary action, but is one of which I've built mechanics around and would be nice to be able to show players in the form of actions, rather then them having to read the description. If that makes sense. :P
Side note, more control over charges would be nice too, like starting charges and max charges, or better yet, tying the above custom actions to the charges.
Topic.
