Hi everyone, first forum post on here so apologies if I've put this in the wrong place.
With Descent just being released I understand that WOTC has changed how they format their books. Mainly in the form of putting a creatures stat block where they show up in the adventure.
Now first off, for physical books this is great its an excellent idea.
However those said creatures don't show up in the creatures section on d&d beyond for the Descent into Avernus sourcebook. This is a major pain as someone who enjoys using new creatures in their own campaigns. Essentially right now if I want to find the stats for said creatures I have to open the marketplace page for Descent into Avernus and browse the creatures there to find them quickly, as opposed to just opening the creatures section of the sourcebook.
Is there anyway you can add these creatures into the creature section to save people like me quite a lot of time.
They don't show up in the creatures section of DDB because they're not in the creatures section of the book. The compendium on DDB matches the layout (as close as is possible) of the physical books.
See I understand that but it seems like a missed opportunity to create an improved digital experience. Every other module or sourcebook released so far has included all creatures in a specific section. Seems like it wouldn't be much extra work to also put the creatures found throughout Descent in its dedicated creature section as well as in the book. To me at least it just seems very clunky to have to use a specific filter to find those creatures.
Because that's how the books are laid out. The compendium will always try to match the book as closely as possible. Descent changed things up with inline stat blocks

However, you can always go to the monsters section of the site and filter by source > Baldur's Gate Descent into Avernus.

And like Davedamon said, you can find all the creatures in BG:DiA by source filtering (https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters?filter-source=48).
