Have you considered allowing people to homebrew a Sorcerer's origins, the source of their power? I'm afraid that none of the official sorcerous origins available quite fit the character I'm creating. Long story short, she gained her powers unwillingly after being experimented upon as a child by a Lich. I call it "Lich-Touched", or "Death-Touched". It'd be awesome if I could somehow input this into D&DB's system so I didn't have to keep extra notes off to the side, and it'd be fun sharing ideas with others. After all, a Sorcerer could be created in any number of ways.
You already can. A Sorcererous Origin is just a subclass. You can homebrew these by clicking here or Create Subclass link under the Creations menu.
The site also supports homebrew races, subraces, magic items, monsters, backgrounds, spells and feats. Any homebrew thing you make will be immediately available for you to use for your characters and anyone in the same campaign as you on here can use it as well.
The Creations menu also has links to see what has been made by other D&D players who have elected to share their homebrew creations. You will need a Heroes' Tier subscription to be able to add and use homebrew made by others, however. You can find details in the Subscription page, the link to which is under the Marketplace menu.

Hi D&D Beyond!
Have you considered allowing people to homebrew a Sorcerer's origins, the source of their power? I'm afraid that none of the official sorcerous origins available quite fit the character I'm creating. I hope you'll consider it!
Thanks!
