There is a lot of great Homebrew out there. It adds fun and exciting features. But sometimes you might want to tweak it a little bit. Or fix a little mistake in the Homebrew. When making Homebrew it gives you the option to base it on of official material. But if doesn't let you base it on of Homebrew material. If you want to make a slightly edited version of someone else's Homebrew than you have to make the entire thing. I feel like allowing for Homebrew to be based on Homebrew would be an easy solution. It would save alot of time and allow for even more amazing Homebrew to be created.
Edit- sorry I forgot to write this originally. But you either wouldn’t be able to post the content. Or dndbeyond makes a filter to prevent copy cats(though that might be impractical)
That would be lovely; building each and every little monster I’d like to include from scratch, just to customize edit weapon, HP or AC is currently keeping me from really using the encounter builder and the homebrew options. Remembering the 4E days of digital tools, it was fun to create a monster from scratch, because it only took a few clicks. The current homebrew options are... a pretty Word/Office template - one that lacks the excel functions.
There‘s nothing to lose, but imagined fame and click counters.

The primary reason it is not currently allowed is so you can't copy and publish the same/similar homebrew that someone else published.
They could make it that you can’t publish Homebrew if it’s based on someone else’s Homebrew
