I am creating a new race with its own culture and history for my homebrew setting, and want to add a language that I created as a racial feature. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any way to create a new language that I can add to the race.
If there is a way to do this that I haven't been able to create I'd appreciate some help. If not, then it would be great to have that added so that homebrew creators aren't limited to the official languages.
Yes, absolutely this. One of the first things people do when creating new settings is create new languages, so it should be possible to add new languages to the list as homebrew objects -- and then create new racial or class variants that allow those if you want. Homebrew languages are a much simpler thing than almost any other homebrew thing.
Facing the same problem here, seems like a simple thing to add the ability to type in a language in the homebrewing process, on the admin side of things.
Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.
Homebrew languages are so needed. Plus Plus to be able to link them in race / class / backgrounds as selectable options. But on this we would also need to disable the generic ones. I as well run things in earth, with French, Spanish, Etc.

Thanks in advance!
There's no way to create homebrew languages as a selectable option. Instead, you have to add them directly to the character sheet under proficiencies

Thanks! Still think that they should add that option though.

If you allow Home brew content, it only tracks that you have home brew language.
I would settle for a blank next to languages and a write in feature.
thanks for the Proficiency Option until hopefully this is created.

This would be very helpful.

I'm kinda floored that this still doesn't exist.
Hey, it's 2021 and this is still a thing I guess. Glad this thread is here though so I know how to work around it.
its 2022 still not a thing
Yes, this is absolutely a thing that D&D Beyond should be working on.
Would still love the simple ability to create a Homebrew Language, it seems like this would be helpful to a lot of DM's out there!
Adding my voice to this one. It seems like it would be the simplest one to manage.
I would also appreciate this feature
I set my campaign in Earth. It’s weird to use standard race languages instead of “French, German, Spanish, Dutch.” Etc.
I'll be glad when the website transfers over to WotC [REDACTED].

Second of all: It already has, like over a month ago.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
This needs to be a thing, I have a setting that has multiple languages for the human populations

I would also like this to be a thing. It can't take that long to add a simple feature like this.
