To enable the EGTW stuff, you have to enable "critical role content" in the character creator. In my opinion, this is confusing and annoying. I can see why they did it, but i would recommend not doing that, because it is a published book with wotc races and not purely critical role content.
All the toggles in the character builder refer to published WotC books; each toggle refers to a non-Forgotten Realms setting or package of content. That's why we have:
Magic the Gathering
Rick and Morty
Critical Role
Eberron
It's also why Acquisitions Incorporated isn't a toggle, as the content is set in the Forgotten Realms
The CR toggle doesn't mean "purely critical role content" or "not wotc content", it means "not set in the forgotten realms"
Oh. That makes more sense. Still, i wish that was more available information, as for a wile the only thing that appeared when you flipped that switch was an unofficial subclass and an unofficial class, i just thought that it was for unofficial stuff. Sorry.
Also, what about the races that appear in both Volo's guide to monsters and Explorer's guide to wildemount. I have not bought volo's guide on dnd beyond, but to access those races that have been unchanged from their forgotten realms versions you have to turn on "Critical role content". That is what i mean with my complaint. Kenku, Tabaxi, Tortles and the goblinoids in EGTW are unchanged from those in volo's guide. why not have those available?
My complaint is having to tell people they can’t use guns or be an edgy blood hunter when using CR Content. Material published by WotC should be available and the unofficial CR content should have its own filter.

Those races still appear when CR is turned off for me (I have VGtM).

Yeah, maybe they should require the homebrew toggle.
The problem with the, "add another toggle for..." request is that if we did that every time it's asked for, there would be several dozen toggles there, making that section pretty much incomprehensible for people, let alone some of the weird scenarios that would have to be coded around, "Ok, this needs both toggle 5 and toggle 7 to be on"
If I recall correctly, the next phase of the campaign manager tools should introduce the ability to define for a campaign what is (and isn't) allowed on a much more granular level that should resolve such things.

BTW, was it ever explained why there's a "Rick and Morty" slider there? Are there actually any options relevant to the character builder exclusively from the Rick and Morty adventure? Or is it just a few magic items or something?
(A source filter search for magic items from the book indicates there's exactly one new magic item from it: the concertina. Hardly seems worth its own slider...)

Yeah, it is just that 1 magic item (which honestly fits nicely in any setting) and 6 creatures (which don't really need a toggle for). They should probably remove that toggle.
