Long story short: I’m planning a dungeon delve campaign and I want to limit characters to the options in the Basic Rules PDF: the four “core” classes and races only, and the single subclass option for each.
Would it be possible to get an option to filter the content by just the Basic Rules PDF? Maybe create a “Basic Rules + Extras” Option for people who want all of the SRD and EEPC content?

With the release of version 1.0 of the Basic Rules, I'd like to throw this suggestion back out again. I'd like to be able to filter options for character creation by just the Basic Rules, without the SRD or Elemental Evil Player's Companion.
thanks for the information - I will ask staff about this, however it's Thanksgiving currently, so possibly won't have an answer until early next week.
I think it's unlikely that D&D Beyond will separate out Basic Rules from SRD content, but this could happen when the granular sharing development is finished, as everything will need to have a "source" set for it in the database. The EEPC is already set as a rules source, so it will definitely be possible to switch this off for campaigns once the granular sharing development work is complete.
For example, the Basic Rules only include the Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard classes. There are no Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Sorcerer, or Warlock classes in the Basic Rules.
A bit old, but I am also interested in having the SRD separate from the basic rules as two sources. The SRD is more of a 3rd party content creation document, while the basic rules is a simple starter set of the rules with simple spells and class options.
Revisiting this to ask the same. We are planning a one-shot with several first time players who will only have the basic rules (until we get them hooked). Wanted to generate some characters to print for them using one the basic rules set, excluding all my other purchased books.

What is even in SRD, that isn't in Basic Rules (besides EEPC, since that is already separate)?
The Basic Rules are more of a subset of the SRD.

I believe the SRD has more spells than the Basic Rules as well; that was the issue I was running into when I was making pregens for a game.
