I think it would be a great feature if there was a section of the forums that was private and only available to people with Master Tier subscriptions (so basically DM's) to toss around campaign ideas and discuss active campaigns without their players being able to see it. I know there's the "Dungeon Masters Only" sub-forum but as far as I know, there's no actual protection on it.
I like the idea a great deal, but I'd probably suggest a separate forum section subscribers****y in general (bot Hero and Master tier) and a specific sub-section with this private one only for Master tier owners.
(Also, I second the special titles for people who bought the legendary bundle and for subscribers)

I don’t see the point of this other than, I guess, creating some sort of walled-garden for subscribers that pointlessly mirrors the forums we already have where people can pay money monthly to circle-jerk in an even deader area of the forums in private from everyone else?
Like, ostensibly, if you were going to try and draw some sort of “rewards for support” VIP area, why would you link it to subscriptions? Not all people who give DDB money and support do so through some monthly tithe. You’d be shutting out all the people who paid money for content, but do not care about subscribing for more character slots or sharing that content in an online campaign capacity.
On top of that, it’s not like these forums are a happening place. There are threads and forums that haven’t changed in days (or weeks). Why would you want to make this place even deader by introducing some sort of “payers only” lounge and sub-divide the conversations even more?
Cool little badges or money titles…sure. But walling up private forums…pass.

You make good points!
However as they add new content and more services, I think you will see more people wanting to subscribe to get access to the premium features offered. Also this forum is only a few months old, it takes time to develop and may/should do really well a year from now.
But like I said you make some good points, and I would rather include everyone than not. The only exception I would make is for legendary purchasers and subscribers should have maybe a single forum for feedback where they can post, so Beyond could see what people want the most, from those already supporting it.

Currently I'm running 2 campaigns of Lost Mine of Phandelver and have all of my players on DDB. I'm working on my own campaign for after one of the groups finishes LMoP, and as it's my first time creating a campaign (and will be my first time DM'ing aside from the 2 aforementioned sessions), I would like to be able to post the full text of my campaign and get feedback from others with more experience and also share it with other DM's who may want to use it. I understand that making it private cuts out a part of the people who could give feedback or could use it, but given that all of my players are on DDB, they can go to my profile and see all of the threads I've created very easily and could then view the entire campaign text. They don't even have to do it intentionally, they could stumble across it on accident by just looking around the forums section of the website. That's why I think a private subforum would be useful, to avoid that, and seeing as most people with a master subscription would probably be DM's, that could be a useful resource for them.
As a side-note, there's really no reason to jump into a thread and be vulgar right off the bat. Not saying I don't ever use language like that, but there's a time and a place and I don't think this is that place.
There has been discussion on the possibility of adding optional forum titles/graphics for those who have purchased content or a subscription, though as always, there is a priority list for work to get done, so this is by no means certain.
I suggest asking BadEye on the next Developer Q&A session. :)

The problem is that while this situation would maybe be resolved for you with the new additional forums, it solves exactly zero issues for DMs who have players with subscriptions as well...or future you for that matter, should any of your players decide to subscribe.

I understand that the concept of it is thrown off by any of my players getting a subscription, but currently that's very unlikely (for my players at least) and I feel that the most likely scenario for most groups is one person with a master subscription, unless one or two players want to make a ton of characters.

The problem being that even if they buy their own subscription, they can't make characters with all the content unless they are in a shared campaign, which is limited. This is something that needs to be addressed at some point.

I like this idea, it also goes along with my ideas for special titles for day one supporters, legendary package supporters, and subscribers.
extra little benefits that, in the long run, cost basically nothing.
