First, let me say that I use DND Beyond for almost all of my DND campaigns, so this isn't an "I hate your site" post. But I play almost exclusively Adventure League Legal games and there is one huge shortcoming with your site regarding this. You have the ability to choose whether you want Ebberon, Critical Role, etc. when we are creating characters, and that takes out a lot of the non-AL books. BUT, since AL is PHB +1, we need a way to do that, also, if we don't have "which spell comes from which book" memorized. Face it, we love the site because we DON'T have everything memorized. So, it would be great if there was a way to pick which books we are using individually so that we can keep our characters AL legal without referring back and forth to other resources to do so. So, can we get a way to ensure that the characters adhere to the PHB+1 rule, or allow us to individually choose which books we want to use? Thanks.

Been doing this DND stuff since the late 70's...yeah, from the original DnD. Not even the Advanced DnD stuff. Been there, done that...failed that "I only fail on a 1" saving throw.
I don't play or run AL games, but I do agree, a source-by-source toggle setting would be great.
When you create a Campaign, and share sourcebooks, you can turn them on or off individually. I want that functionality for building a character on my own, too.
And on a related tangent ... for Campaigns, I also want to be able to do that for Homebrew (both as a whole, and item-by-item) and Unearthed Arcana (again, as a whole as well as UA-by-UA). It'd also be nice, for Adventures, to be able to share the character build options, without sharing the entire text of the adventure.

They keep updating the dev map so sometimes things get removed and/or added. I know that there at least were plans in the pipeline for AL specific. I run AL games, so I feel your pain there.
I think the problem is they would be able to implement the general rules...but since certain things change EVERY season (like this season races don't count towards your +1 but you only have PHB races and select options from Volos and Mordenkainens) it makes it hard to keep up.
Especially when AL posts the new rules the day the season starts so that we don't have time to ask questions and push back/try to get certain things changed.
Yeah, I feel the pain of the changes. I think the real answer would be to allow us to tick off which books we want to use. They already do that with Ebberon and Critical Role, so the ability is there. Thanks for the reply.
