When using the mobile app to view source books and Adventure guides the back button in the top left seems to exit the book.
Example being I start on the Table of Contents, then select a chapter. To me the natural option is for Back to go back to the ToC then I would tap it again to exit the book altogether. However the current behaviour of this button is to simply exit the book altogether.
I know I can simply tap the ToC button to get a pop up list to choose from but there are times where there’s differences in these layouts - particularly when it comes to things like Bestiary’s where you only get the first letter to choose whereas the Books ToC has direct links to specific creatures by name
Really it’s more about the design being less intuitive IMO
Just wanted to submit the feedback.
Overall I enjoy the app and the functions that have been added over the years since it’s first Alpha and Beta releases with it now being more than just the books I find it’s becoming more and more my go to on mobile instead of using the site - when possible. Keep up the great work!
This needs to happen.. I either use the back button or swipe from the left side to right to go back to where I just was in every app I use. But in dnd beyond it goes back to library as explained above.
This is BEYOND frustrating! (excuse the pun) I am paying monthly fee for DnDBeyond, and they can't even make the app usable for navigating a book. Back button just exits the book when using the app! Forced to use the website. So if you aren't going to support the APP then get rid of it and just make people use the website, OR FIX YOUR APP please! I literally can't get back to table of contents while using the app. Madness!
So Did you investigate???? You've had 4 years now. Did you guys even have a reason there is no back button? Or easy way to navigate books? The search is terrible too. Just sell the PDF of the book and we can search that using reader, and use it like a real book would be one option.

As an additional point to consider the back button on Searches doesn’t return to search results, it goes back to the Library as well
Agreed

D&D Beyond StaffThank you very much for your feedback.
We'll investigate how we could improve this behaviour.
