When Enable Dice is toggled to off, I would like the option, rather than losing the interactivity and logging associated with digital dice, to be able to perform base value rolls with real dice. When this feature/functionality is enabled and a user taps on an element that would initiate a dice roll, they would receive a prompt/pop-up informing me how many of which die/dice to roll, input field(s) to enter the rolled value(s), and then receive the calculated/modified results for the action/check/save the same as when the value is produced through digital dice. If the character is enrolled in a campaign, the result(s) should be recorded to the campaign log, ideally with some accompanying notation/tag/mark indicating it was the result of a manual roll.
I just came here to suggest this very thing. A field to enter manual rolls for my players who prefer physical dice, but a way to get all that info into the game log so it doesn't feel like I'm tracking two campaigns.
A hybrid option would be great so a DM can accomadate both digital rollers and manual rollers who would enter their base rolls into a field.
Manual rolling should be an option. If the company still wanted to sell $10.00 dice packs, they could just be skins overtop of what you enter as a manual roll. There is really no reason, to not have this as an option by now.
5 years later and this is still not an option..... Literally just go about it the foundry way please!
Click on roll button > pop up window with numeric field input > roll digital dice and do math
Easy, simple, great for clickity clackity and best of all, DDB still gets to sell the digital dice AND they can now sell the same set / D20 in physical combo with the digital dice purchase.
Everyone happy, pockets keep getting filled, and we get to do a simple freaking thing that should have happened 10 years ago.

D&D Beyond StaffThank you, noted.
Yes! This is a great idea. Exactly what I would want
Great Idea, so usefull.
I assume this will never happen as long $10 digital dice are being sold, but it would be an *easy* and solid improvement and huge win for players

This is a great idea, I own loads of cool digital dice on Beyond, would be nice to be able to use this in Maps
Does anybody feel the same way I do about the new digital dice roll interface. It is too bulky and the dice are too big
