Can I double check with folks, lots of creatures say "Damage Resistances Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks" meaning magical bludgeoning weapon damage is not halved but normal damage is.
But if it reads "Damage ResistancesBludgeoning, Fire, Piercing" dose that mean even if the weapon is magical the damage is not halved?
Hi,
Can I double check with folks, lots of creatures say "Damage Resistances Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks" meaning magical bludgeoning weapon damage is not halved but normal damage is.
But if it reads "Damage Resistances Bludgeoning, Fire, Piercing" dose that mean even if the weapon is magical the damage is not halved?
Hope that makes sense. Thanks
If it doesn't say "from non-magical" then it means all.
Resistance to "Bludgeoning from non-magical" = resistant to non-magical, full damage from magical
Resistance to "Bludgeoning" = resistance to both magical AND non-magical -- any bludgeoning damage, it's resistant.
WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
Thanks for clarifying, that's what I expected but did not want to miss a general overriding rule.
