Hi, I recently got extremely frustrated with some of my purchases as all these options clutter character creation. While I come to terms with the clutter in my own character builder, that is certainly not something I want for my players, especially as some of them are new to D&D. Sadly, I realized too late that limiting shared content only affects compendium content.
So, I am searching for alternatives. One suggestion was to copy everything I want to include over to private homebrew. I dutifully did that as it also provides me with the flexibility to decide on a case-by-case basis on what to include. However, here again, I am facing a few problems. First of all, there does not seem a way to share the artificer class with my players through private homebrew. I guess there is no way around that?
Secondly, and more importantly, where can my players read descriptions of privately shared subclasses?
As there is no way to homebrew base classes, artificer will not be able to be shared, correct.
Subclass descriptions aren't visible in the Character Builder, so you will have to either compile links to all of these subclass into a shareable document (which your players will be able to see as long as they have a character in one of your campaigns), or else copy and paste the descriptions into a documet for them to read and reference.

Thank you! That seems to work.
