Willy Wonka with a stun rod!? That is not in character for Willy Wonka. Capturing a thief with a ten foot long licorice whip and a net made of very sticky taffy would be more in character. Then, you have the Oompah Loompah security squad roll the miscreant into a large garbage can for transport to the jail.

The whole party was angry at me for dumping out our bag of holding. My Wizard was out of memorized spells, was on 1 HP, and slowy turning to stone. The BBEG comes over to gloat.
"Did you think a mere apprentice like you could beat a master of the Arcane like I-"
"Yes!" My character says then rams a portable hole into a bag of holding when our noses are touching. The BBEG and I are sucked into the astral plane and die. On the bright side the party still had their stuff.
The the DM and the other players needed 45 minutes to stop laughing about it to resume the game. The party wraps up, goes back to town, and finds the wife in his back story.
Me as my new character: "Let me Guess, He sacrificed himself to make the world safe for me and our baby on the way. You are going to raise him from death or I will ring your neck in his place holy man!" Althgerta The barbarian joins the party and no one is strong enough to stop her. We only played 3 more sessions before we had to stop.

And I’m guessing next campaign, you played as your character’s child, all grown up?

Sadly no, I didn't think of that.

Serves him right.
