I'm keeping up to date with news on this new book but I'm seeing no references to kobolds. In the last draconic UA they released a revised kobold that I really liked. Will they be in the book or were they cut? I cannot seem to find answers on this by searching the site so I'm asking here,
Not all UA content makes it to every book together. They may pop in on the next set of player books next year. It sounds like the Owlfolk didn't make it into the Feywild book with the pixie or the rabbitfolk, but are likely in the Stryxhaven book. Nobody is sure where the Hobgoblins got shunted to yet.

Yeah, that Volo's kobold is, uhh, yikes. Desperately needs a fix.

Active characters:
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
Unfortunately, while we likely won’t know for sure if the UA kobolds made it until Fizban’s releases, there has been a noticeable dearth of mentions of kobolds in the various announcements promoting the book, with the only racial option being mentioned being the dragonborn. So while I also want the UA kobold to become official, the odds currently look grim.
There are plenty of review copies of Fizbans being discussed on YouTube and elsewhere including showing the book's table of contents. While all the Dragonborn, and the character classes, and the draconic gifts are present, the Kobolds are neither in the character creation section nor the bestiary sections.
MMM will be presenting I think 30+ player character races reformatted for "going forward" or "evolution" or whatever they're calling the next two years. Seems like a good candidate for the reworked Kobold. (Maybe that Fey Hobgoblins too that has also fallen off radar).
That would be a huge disappointment. That update to kobolds was one of my favorite things.
The updated Kobold will likely appear in Monsters of the Multiverse.
you are correct! the revised kobold is in MOTM, and they have some interesting abilities, including a draconic cry, and a draconic ability selection (good for sorcerers)

That's why I'm excited about this new version! It is still good and better represents kobolds.
