Does anyone know a workaround or fix for this? It seems that it's still not fixed.
I am trying to do heavily obscured, I tried doing it as [sense ] heavily obscured[/sense ] (without space in brackets). Not sure how else to do it.

Heavily Obscured is not a sense, so that doesn't work. The tag you need for that is "rule" or "rules": Heavily Obscured
You can find a full list of all the available tooltip tags in this thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/9811-how-to-add-tooltips
It was rule, thank you so much!

I figured it out, i wanted to put spells in my homebrew monsters and when you hover over the spell it will pop up
I tried using the {{classlevel*5#unsigned}} in a homebrew and it does not appear to work in the pop up text. Does it not work in a spell description?

What you're describing there is snippet code, and it only works in snippet fields. It does not work in spell descriptions.
