My son and nephew have been playig b/ x since last year and want soon move on to 5e. I'm looking for a recomendation for a suitable lv 1-2 adventure (more of a one shot type thing that could be completed in one or 2 4 hourish session. ). That would make a good simple introduction for both dm and players. Looking for anything availible on DM guild really.
There's a nice little adventure called A Most Potent Brew. It takes very little time to play and is pretty simple, but gives payers the chance to preform a bunch of different abilities and skill checks to perform. It's pretty fun, and there's several 'sequel' adventures by the same author that are also really fun and a good intro to the system.
Lost Mines is the next step. The hideout as a simple hack and slash, with the possibility of some rp its good. But really looking for a one shot with a self contained story, hopefully one with rp, combat and exploration. . This would be played around easter, with Lost Mines during the summer holidays. Thats a long gap if we started on Lost Mines at easter.
Check out DMsguild One shot. You can search all the different one shots and read the reviews. Sounds like you have something specific in mind and a little searching there can help.
edit: You can easily run LMoP through the goblin cave as a one shot with a cliff hanger at the end. It won't disrupt the story if you decide to keep going.
That is what I did in the end. With this thread I was really fishing for people opinions of modules they had liked. In the end I found Beneath Firestone Keep by MT Black that sounds interesting and reviews decent. The other is defiance in Phlan, As I will be using roll 20 this will prob be the more likely unless someone can point me in the direction of abither option.

Quick bump, still looking for module options. The players are not new to rpg.
Try the starter set, Lost Mines of Phandelver. It's pretty good. You can do the opening Goblin cave sequence in a few hours.
