The new bugbear sneak attack with his reach advantage will be fun. Monks, rogues and warlocks with be interesting builds with bugbears and a gloomstalker with the increased advantage and extra 1d8 in first round will be cool. Wonder if the sneak attack bonus will work on a reaction attacks?
Which was fine before they started selling the damn thing. But now they're taking people's money for it, and I would like to motion that we officially declare it's no longer okay for them to keep waffling like this. It's extremely poor communication, which is funny given the new management team's stated goal (which they have consistently failed at) of providing clearer, better communication.
DND beyond are very much at the whim of wizards here, they have stated that the updates will come for May and I imagine Wizards have requested they, and other partners like Roll 20 say nothing until wizards allow them to. Yes the “box set” has been released but realistically until the book is released on its own I imagine we won’t hear much from DND beyond probably because they and wizards are still working out the best way to make it available without wizards losing out on licensing fees.
They've officially announced that they'll be classed as new content, and so won't be given as free updates to the old books, you have to buy MotM to get the new stat blocks etc. They haven't said exactly how it'll be implemented (versions? Separate monsters with thr book name next to it? Etc), but it is separate content.

Same with me, I've been using the UA Plasmoid race, now I have four separate slime PCs. 😁
