I guess it could be an issue with it being bundle only. WotC may insist that it can't be sold separately, which may be an issue for DDB, given their pricing schemes. Alternatively, it could just be issues getting it sorted in the backend.
They've said it will be sold separately later on, and so I have no doubt that it will come to DDB, it's just a question of when.

It will be released as an individual book eventually, that was said when the gift set was announced. No date as to when. Since the gift set comes out in late January, I figure three months or so later at minimum to give time to lure in the boxed set sales among the "need it now" completists.
I know some stuff got changed in the DDB MM to I think VGtR stats when that book came out, and I think Feywild might have made some adjustments to stat blocks DDB wide too. Given that, MMM could very well be a "moot" book to many DDB users who invest in sourcebooks and bundles already.

Took me a while to parse that one too. I think he means that species with natural weapons (i.e. "race's unarmed" rather than "races on arms", sounds like a speech-to-text bot got super confused.) are all upgraded to a d6 base damage, so he's hoping the Monk's Martial Arts will also be punched up to a d6 in 2024.
What I want to know is: 1) Are these racial changes going to be Forced on us or 2) Will they only be accessible if you buy the book and activate a toggle?
From what I have seen from the leaked information, I do not like the changes and don't plan to buy the book. If the changes are Forced on me, I may have to stop using D&D Beyond for character creation and merely use it for online reference material.
3/4's of the players at my table absolutely hate what they have seen from the leaked material, and the others simply don't care as long as they get to play.

The Harengon just came out with Witchlight. Why do they already need an update?
Sometimes things get reprinted to make them more standardized for things like adventurers league. I would imagine this is the case there since its a flat reprint with zero changes.
In the leak part two he says that races on arms are bumped to a D6. Hopefully that means the new monk in 2024 will start at a D6 as well
What do you mean D6?
Sorry I was voice texting while doing something. The unarmed strike/natural weapons, like tabaxi claws or centaur hooves are going to 1d6. So I’m hoping the Monks unarmed strikes will start at 1d6 instead of 1d4.
yeah, and tried to edit it to say unarmed but my old iPhone has been having issues (or maybe it’s the mobile site) that sometimes I hit save changes and it doesn’t take.
What will happen to the ones of us who bought from another book the races that are going to be in MotM? I dont want another Eberron situation were I bought two books that endeed up being like 60% the same.

Which was fine before they started selling the damn thing. But now they're taking people's money for it, and I would like to motion that we officially declare it's no longer okay for them to keep waffling like this. It's extremely poor communication, which is funny given the new management team's stated goal (which they have consistently failed at) of providing clearer, better communication.
If DnD Beyond do go the route of forcing any changes to races on those of us who already purchased them through the older sourcebooks without some kind of slider to switch between versions I'll be pretty upset.
Its bad enough they removed whole chunks of lore on monstrous races such as Beholders and Yuan-ti from content we already bought (and replaced it with nothing, essentially removing portions of products we already purchased)
... they removed whole chunks of lore on monstrous races such as Beholders and Yuan-ti...
They didn't. They removed advice on roleplaying such creatures and they removed absolute alignments. That's not whole chunks of lore, that's not even lore to begin with.

And the chunks that they did remove on roleplay advice for the creatures was largely redundant.
People need to freaking read the errata before they comment about it. I can't tell what's more annoying, the people complaining about the loss of redundant roleplay advice as if it were the end of D&D as we know it, or the people who constantly refer to George Orwell's 1984 without reading the book.

I'd say the latter, just because of how much more widespread it is.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

There are definitely changes.
This is definitely not a reprint with no changes.
Specifically was referencing harengon in that line. Otherwise, I agree with you.
