If you're already at 20 it won't add beyond that. Use Stacking Bonus instead.
Thanks. The character just has a 19 Wisdom. I'll take a look at Stacking Bonus.
Stacking Bonus got it done, but I consider it just a workaround. It isn't a permanent fix. If/when the next time someone got it, they'd have to choose the same stat as the first person, or we'd have to create separate feats for each stat. That's cumbersome.
Edit: I changed the dropdown from Choose any Ability to Choose Int, Wis or Chr. That seemed to work.
I think this is the root of the problem, and why some people are trying to add supernatural boons prior to level 20. from my reply on Reddit: Reddit D&D - question_about_goliath
Playing D&D with my son is almost a bad as doing my taxes for the IRS! Using D&D Beyond I had the same issue. My Goliath Species Traits list both Giant Ancestry and Stone's Endurance. I also through these were two separate traits. I searched for Supernatural Boons with no results. I searched ancestry with little results, other than a vague reference to being a replacement term for your species. When I searched boons, I got Epic Boons. At first I thought that was what I was supposed to choose, but they all stated (level +19), so something was not adding up. Going back to the Player's Handbook 2024, I looked up Goliaths, and under Giant Ancestry was the list below. Even though this list does not have a sub-heading of supernatural boons, that is what they are. If you look on your traits on your character sheet, it shows: *Giant Ancestry... |Stone's Endurance... Which is supposed to be a sub item, and not a separate item. I think D&D needs to reword to "Choose one of the following supernatural benefits from your ancestry..."
Giant Ancestry. You are descended from Giants. Choose one of the following benefits—a supernatural boon from your ancestry; you can use the chosen benefit a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest:
Cloud’s Jaunt (Cloud Giant). As a Bonus Action, you magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
Fire’s Burn (Fire Giant). When you hit a target with an attack roll and deal damage to it, you can also deal 1d10 Fire damage to that target.
Frost’s Chill (Frost Giant). When you hit a target with an attack roll and deal damage to it, you can also deal 1d6 Cold damage to that target and reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
Hill’s Tumble (Hill Giant). When you hit a Large or smaller creature with an attack roll and deal damage to it, you can give that target the Prone condition.
Stone’s Endurance (Stone Giant). When you take damage, you can take a Reaction to roll 1d12. Add your Constitution modifier to the number rolled and reduce the damage by that total.
Storm’s Thunder (Storm Giant). When you take damage from a creature within 60 feet of you, you can take a Reaction to deal 1d8 Thunder damage to that creature.
