Ok, so firstly not sure if this is the right place for this so apologies if it's not. I've been playing DnD for years, bought books for at least 3 editions of D&D/AD&D, and have always had piles of books and scrap paper beside me as we play, then someone pointed me to this App/site and it seems great, but I have a pile of books I've bought before I was shown this. So was wondering if there is a way I can upload/unlock the books I already own without having buy them all over again. I know other E-readers have such functions where you can scan the barcode to add it to your library.
D&D Beyond is a separate company from Wizards of the Coast and is effectively a digital bookstore (plus toolset) for D&D. As such, there is no way to redeem your books (that you bought through a different bookstore) on D&D Beyond.
I will also note that I'm not aware of any e-reader that has the functionality to scan the barcode on a book to (legitimately) add it to your library. The barcodes on books are non-unique and as such, do not prove ownership. There may be some books that provide a unique serial or product code, but there's nothing that legally converts the non-unique ISBN/SBN/UPC into a digital version.
