I don't think many people are clamoring to play bugbears generally. They're sort of unpleasant creatures. I'll be vaguely interested whether there's some kind of lore update for them or what.
i believe volos requires surprise. MMM requires bugbear to attack before they do.
well with up to a 20ft reach advantage and the 2d6 sneak attack. they can be interesting lol
i agree, then give them an high initiative and can attack multiple opponents with the 2d6 or just focus on one. You get a 2d6 bonus damage when you attack a creature that has not taken their first turn.
Lizardfolk can no longer make weapons out of enemies... Seriously, What the Hell?
I am going to say it is amusing to see people complaining about something that is at best 3rd hand information, a person told a person who then made a video about what is supposedly in the new book.
We have no idea how accurate this is, but, historically leaks such as this generally prove to have the details wrong.
I would say lets wait until the actual book is released in its entirety before people start getting upset about details of changes to individual race abilities.

He had pictures of said book which he showed to the camera and read out to the "audience", and then gave his opinions. It's not like Chinese whispers where he said she said. Either they went to an awful lot of effort to make fake rumours,, or it was legit. It turns out that it was completely legitimate. It was released on Tuesday, I've had my copy for nearly a week (I got mine last week), and while I haven't gone over the video again, every single detail he mentioned that I remember was 100% accurate, 100% fair to context and nothing wrong. I'm guessing you didn't watch the video, but I put credence in this leak because it was credible with it's sources and evidence. I'm not sure what your point is?

It could still be an early edition though. They still have months for production and we don't know how old that copy is.

Ok my mistake there, out of interest guessing you bought it as the full set with Tasha’s and Xanathars, are they any different to the original editions. Trying to worK out if it is worth buying both books again to get MMM, or just wait until may?
To clarify, the special set with two other books included was released already; if you want to buy the book on its own (whether here on DDB or a physical copy) you have to wait until May. Either way though, it's out. Nothing's going to change anymore.

Different covers and presumably errata (if any) incorporated. I would have bought the set if the covers had been the previous alternate ones or something equally nice, but I'm not a fan of these new ones so combined with the inflated price I decided against it.

My understanding is that it's just updated with all the errata previously updated. I don't have an old copy to compare, but if you have a specific point you'd like to compare, I can check. However, I'm pretty sure it's just errata, which is great for me. If you already own it? Only if it's worth it to have errata incorporated into the book rather than stickies (or whatever your system is, if you have one) is worth the extra, I guess. Personally, I'd just wait until May, and would have had I owned the other books or not really liked the idea of the second collection set. MMM itself is really good, it's just not worth that much just to get it 4 months earlier.

Dude I feel your pain. I was building my whole character on this. I'm not sure what possessed them but I guess the optics of your human friend dying in combat and a lizard folk honouring his memory by crafting a dagger out of his rib just feels too real for them.
I mean, there's really nothing stopping you from doing it still. Most DMs would allow you to make something as simple as a dagger no problem. But I don't expect your party members to be dying often enough for this to be, uh, a regular thing.
In other words, I feel like the lizardfolk rules were changed because they were unnecessary, not because they were somehow problematic from a narrative standpoint. I could be wrong though.
Almost all of which is completely irrelevant to a game.
In my campaigns I have never seen anyone with any desire to craft any of the items on the lizardman list. It's a pretty typical ribbon ability, slightly colorful and almost totally useless.
