I would like to make a thread discussing resources for maps, minis, dice, etc. - all things D&D.
Basically a thread where we all share the different products and resources we like as end users, but NOT to promote anything we're selling. I just wanted to check with you guys first and make sure that is not a problem. I know DND Beyond is a private company.
If you say "What are your favourite dice towers to use in D&D?", that's fine and I've seen several threads ask similar things.
If you ask "Do you prefer SeanJP's Tremendous Tower of Terror or SeanJP's Hellacious High-rise of Horrors?", well, I don't want to speak for DDB, but I'd imagine that you'd be at least in very thin ice.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Since there's an entire stickied thread about resources for playing online which has references to 3rd party materials, I'm pretty sure discussing and listing resources related to D&D is peachy. As Linklite suggests though, just don't go against the intent of the site rules and try to shill your stuff under the disguise of discussing it. Additionally: this is what those rules have to say about advertising:
2a. Advertising on D&D Beyond
D&D Beyond only allows advertisements that are related to the Dungeons & Dragons product/hobby.
Before posting ANY advertisement, you must seek permission from the D&D Beyond moderator team first by sending a private message to one of our moderators. Failure to adhere to this will lead to your advertisement being removed. This includes linking to any Patreon or Kickstarter campaign, whether you are the owner or not.
We do not allow more than one thread per advertisement. We reserve the right to refuse advertisements for any reason whatsoever.
Streams & YouTube channels - it is permitted to make a post advertising your D&D-related stream or video channel, without first seeking permission. These should be posted in the Streams & Video forum.
Looking for Players/DMs - it is permitted to make a post advertising your D&D gaming group, or looking to find one, without first seeking permission. These should be posted in the Looking for Players & Groups forum.
Those who do want to advertise have that option, as long as they do it right.

So, I'd love more of a designated space where people can talk freely about 3rd party products, I guess folks could use that space also to talk about dice tours or miniatures or what have you. I mean people talked bout Strongholds and Followers to exhaustion, Kingdoms and Warfare not so much. Kobold's Press gets name checked frequently. And I make reference to MCDM's Arcadia content when it seems relevant for a player or DM looking for outside the box options, particularly noting when something is DDB homebrew friendly (meaning it can be done in the home brew tools).
I think the concern is when reviewing or discussing something may be interpreted as "advertorial", though I don't know if advertorial technically includes content generated by community members and not the sites actual editorial team (I mean technically most of the articles ramping up to Netherdeep are advertorial, ideally they want users to buy the DDB version, but some folks are likely going to pick up the print etc).
But frankly, from what I can see as long as a poster isn't doing the equivalent of dropping an affiliate link into the discussion (thereby betraying a monetary interest in the product under discussion) talking about a non WotC non D&D product is fair game within reason. I mean, Roll20, FantasyGrounds etc are regularly brought up here and those are indirect competitors with DDB.
But as to what SeanJP means by D&D Products, there's a distinction between what WotC calls a D&D product, and then you have stuff that WotC had a role in developing like Planeshift, and then you have stuff that WotC sorta grants license to and hosts like DMsGuild (which actually has a subforum here) and then you have all the SRD stuff. I'd honestly prefer a forum specifically for SRD to include Kickstarters separate from the advertising section. But that's just my ideal, I don't think DDB is doing anything wrong organizing the forums the way it does.
I suppose it would be strange for DDB to have a specific space to talk about physical dice, screens, dice trays and all that stuff that DDB's full functionality arguably competes with, like I just don't go to DDB to talk about physical dice, screens, dice trays, though people have talked about and even had threads on literal furnishings like Wormwood Tables.

DDB sponsors Critical Role. Have you seen their setup? I mean, I'm not saying your argument has no merit whatsoever but DDB's core business isn't to replace dice or dice trays, screens, tables, minis, battlemats and whatnot.

Fair, though I'm surprised CR hasn't trotted out the myriad of virtual dice, or may they have (don't really want them).
They all use actual dice (Laura Bailey's a dice hoarder) and moreover, sell physical dice through their own shops. They've also advertised physical products related to D&D like dice vaults (Wyrmwood made Matt's custom DM screen, I believe), though not very recently if memory serves. Given the math skills on display, rolling on DDB wouldn't be a bad idea for several members - they probably just really like their shiny click-clacks.
