I'm trying to create a mini adventure but I don't know how to format it right, is there anyway to make it, formatting wise, look like an official adventure would with the boxes for read-aloud text, etc?
There’s several tools out there for this purpose. The first, which is my personal favorite, is a free site called the Homebrewery. While it does require a little getting used to, it’s a fairly easy tool to use. Basically, you enter text on the left-hand side, and it updates the page on the right. Then, you can share your documents and print them to PDFs fairly easily. The Homebrewery’s been around for a long time, and recently got an update (v3) that makes it a lot simpler to use. The default style mimics the PHB, but they’ve got other “themes” planned in the future. There’s already some unofficial stuff that imitates official books really nicely: the Xanathar’s Guide to Everything template, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything template, and my two favorites the Mythic Odysseys of Theros template and just-released Rime of the Frostmaiden template. If you’re interested, the same person that did a lot of the work on these templates also expanded the default PHB with new options and released a dyslexia-friendly version. The Homebrewery is very popular, and you’ve probably seen it used in a lot of the homebrew threads.
Next up on the list is GM Binder. It’s a tool very similar to the Homebrewery, but with even more (official) options. The downside of this is that, to me at least, GMB is harder to use and has a steeper learning curve. They’ve got plenty of styles as well; just tag “theme” here (under “meta”) and you’ll find several hidden gems.
Lastly, if it’s your thing, the DM’s Guild has several templates to choose from in programs like Word or InDesign. I can’t vouch for them since I’ve never used them, but lots of creators do.
I hope this helps, and if you ever decide to share your adventure here, I’ll be sure to check it out :)
Thank you:) I'm making the adventure for CotFb X, so you'll probably see it there. I checked out the homebrewery and I have one question, how do you do headings, like say, what they would do when listing the name of class features?

For headings, you add little #s before writing your heading, then start a new paragraph below with your normal text, like this:
# The Homebrewery
Welcome traveler from an antique land. Please sit and tell us of what you have seen. The unheard of monsters, who slither and bite. Tell us of the wondrous items and and artifacts you have found, their mysteries yet to be unlocked. Of the vexing vocations and surprising skills you have seen.
### Homebrew D&D made easy The Homebrewery makes the creation and sharing of authentic looking Fifth-Edition homebrews easy. It uses [Markdown](https://help.github.com/articles/markdown-basics/) with a little CSS magic to make your brews come to life.
From the website main page ^
The #s decrease the size and type of header. So ### makes the header you see in D&D books (with the little line below it) and # starts a chapter, along with a drop cap. For class features, it’d probably be four of ‘em. It’s kinda hard for me to explain since I don’t know the specifics of the code stuff, but that’s essentially it.
There’s some other stuff that you have to get used to in addition to the headers. *This* italicizes the text between the the asterisks, and **two of them** bolds it (three does both).
Links are a little weird too, you put the display text in brackets and the link directly after in parentheses.
[display text](linky-link)
Hope this helps (and good luck in CotFB)!
How do you do the pink read-aloud textbox on the Homebrewery?
PS- I realized I put CoTFB IX in the previous post instead of CotFB X, I've edited it now.

If you're using v3 (you can switch between legacy, or v2, and v3 under the "properties" tab), you'll need to add a "descriptive" tag around the boxed text. Like this:
{{descriptive
Texttttttttt
}}
For me, the best way to learn is to experiment. There's dropdowns under the editor that will put text in for you to demonstrate - just open a new document, click "artist credit" or "note" or something else and play with it a little. I like to write my stuff in Google Docs and then convert it to Homebrewery once I've finished the actual content.

No problem. I can't tell any numerals apart past III anyway lol.
PS2-Thanks for your help:)
It's been my pleasure. Homebrewery's really hard to use at first, but in my opinion it's worth it. Let me know if you have any more questions :)
Edit: Oh, also, how do you make text bold?
Add two asterisks around the text, **like this**.
Thank you so much, it really means a lot and you've rescued me from completely not understanding the database:)
I just have one more question I forgot to ask, how do you insert images into the Homebrewery?

Thank you for reccommending The Homebrewery to me, I'm using it and its working really well. I know it's been a while, but I have one more new question, can you do bullet points on the Homebrewery? Thanks for your help:)
