Amazon was saying, even this morning, I would get it today - which I wasn't happy about to begin with. Just got an email that it's being pushed back again, to the 27th.
Seriously considering canceling Prime at this point.
I've ordered on Amazon.ca on April 23rd, and received news on august 13 that the book would arrived by today (Sunday august 21st), but then it change to the 23rd then now it's the 27th. I've contacted amazon support and on the chat they seems to have made a promise that it would be in on the 23rd now...
Are there people here who ordered after April on amazon.ca and have already received the items? I just want to make sure the pre-orders still mean something to Amazon.
Thanks for the info, I hope everyone gets their books as soon as possible.
i preordered on amazon germany on 13. may .. and it says the release date is 13th september.... and the delivery will be somewhen at the start of october .. almost 2 months delayed ... just wtf. i feel hella duped here
(edit: changed from march to may.. since i misremembered)
Now apparently mine has shipped and should arrive today (at this point I won't believe it until I have it in my hands). And I saved an extra 55 cents, woohoo.
I pre-ordered on May 2nd via Amazon (Canada). Estimated Delivery Date was set to the 21st, now it's the 27th. Just chatted on the Customer Service application and they tell me it could take 1-2 months. They say it's a 3rd party fulfillment so they don't know dates or stock numbers... Looks like a WoC problem.
I had to cancel and got it on beyond. I was not willing to keep waiting while Amazon gave me no joy. And I really did want the physical - easier for me to read.

Same thing here. I ordered if from Amazon and got it yesterday afternoon.
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

Amazon gave me two notices on delay. First moving it back two days and now Aug 30th. Just …great.

Update : Amazon.ca as sent me a email today confirming that I would received my package tomorrow.
Still, pre-ordering should exactly prevent those type of delay at launch.
Good news: My order has now been delivered.
Bad news: to someone on who lives on a street with the same name, in a different city
Edit: They redelivered! I think my new books have seen more of the world than I have the last 2.5 years.
