Does anyone know if D&D Beyond will start seperating out the various sections we already have (sources, adventures, and especially forums) under the 5e and "One D&D" editions? I own D&D 5e but I am unlikely to go into the next edition based on the recent books which have been touted as a move towards the next version. Does anyone know for certain whether or not I'll be forced to ask my Rules questions in the zame subforums as One D&D, or if my books will be combined with books I will never buy from this next edition?

I could be wrong, but I don't think we know any of this yet. My guess is that sources will be separated by editions, but I'm honestly not sure.
And I'm not gonna try and guess about whether DDB will do this with the forums, because I have absolutely no idea.

To be honest, the line between 5e and 1D&D is so blurred that it's not going to be easy. I imagine that there will be a way to play 5e, and I have a couple of ideas on how they could do that, but it's all speculation, and the viability of them depends on what the rest of 1D&D looks like. It's so speculative that I'm not sure that there is any value in discussing them at this point.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
As far as forums go, who knows. But as far as sourcebooks etc they already separated out the legacy races from M3 races so I would think it would be similar. For the character builder I think it will be the same, you can do legacy backgrounds or OneD&D backgrounds. But we will have to see if DDB will allow backwards compatibility or if that is only for groups not using DDB.
To be clear, they really haven't separated out anything from standard 5e, as supposedly MP:MotM is still 5e, just a paid for update (re: nerf) of existing Races & Monsters. And that's why you have Legacy vs the "current" content. If we had 3rd Edition mixed up with 5e it just wouldn't work, and it seems sensible - even important - that 5e not be mixed up with new rules that are likely to contradict the prior editions.
